Stable State — Terms of Service
Last updated: July 17, 2026
Stable State ("we," "us," "the Service") is a barn management application for scheduling lessons, tracking horses and riders, and managing finances. By creating a barn or joining one as a member, you agree to these terms.
Accounts and Barns
A barn manager is responsible for their barn: the members they invite, the data they enter, and any fees the barn incurs. Each barn is a separate, isolated account — data does not cross between barns.
Fees and Billing
Some barns are billed on a subscription basis (currently proposed at $50/year or $5/month per barn). Fees are non-refundable except where required by law. We may change pricing for future billing periods with reasonable advance notice.
Uptime
We do not guarantee any specific level of uptime or availability. Stable State runs on third-party infrastructure (currently Supabase and Vercel); free-tier database instances may pause after a period of inactivity and take a moment to resume on the next request. We aim to keep the Service available and will make reasonable efforts to minimize disruption, but outages, maintenance windows, and third-party provider issues can and will happen.
Liability
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Stable State and its operator are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the Service, including lost data, lost revenue, or business interruption. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.
You are responsible for the accuracy of the data you enter (lesson records, financial records, horse and rider information) and for maintaining your own backups of anything critical. A barn manager can download a zip archive of all uploaded documents (health certificates, contracts, waivers, etc.) at any time from Manage Barn → Data Backup. A full spreadsheet export of your barn's lesson, financial, horse, and rider records is available the same way.
Termination
A barn manager may stop using the Service and close their barn's account at any time by contacting us.
We may suspend or terminate a barn's access to the Service for nonpayment, violation of these terms, or misuse of the Service (including attempts to access another barn's data). Where practical, we will provide notice before termination.
Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the Service to store or transmit unlawful content, to attempt to access data outside your barn's scope, or to interfere with the Service's normal operation.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
